Best 1 day trip?

I have a free ticket to almost anywhere in the lower 48 states and i wanted to know if anyone had the best suggestion for a quick 1 day trip without staying overnight. i would prefer something where i would not have to take to many taxis. I want to get off the plane and enjoy my day. i love sightseeing and bars/clubs. Any ideas? I been to Las Vegas many times and like to go somewhere else

Go San Francisco, and take 49miles drive a day to see all the feasure spots in the city and take Red eye flights back home.
