Some people misunderstand and spell it "West"...or they assume Wes is short for Wesley...and that bugs the sh!t out of me.

Not so much for me, but all the time with husband. People always spell his first name wrong. It's always a surprise when it's spelled correctly.
Last name is another one, but not as often. The thing is we have a simple last name.
Nothing much you can do. With the more important papers needing signature, husband always makes sure the other person sees his first name and the spelling.
No problems with "saying" our names.

Yes. My name was Kristi Loyd before I got married and people were always spelling it Christy Lloyd. I'm married now and my last name is Miller, so pretty much everyone can spell that, but people still have trouble spelling my first name right.

When I lived in California, people never got my last name wrong. Then I moved to a mid-southern state and most people don't pronounce it right. It's not even a hard name to read either. It could be easily read phonetically in an English pronunciation. I don't bother trying to correct people either, it's not worth the time or effort.

Spelling constantly. It begins with an H, but most people that don't know me spell it with a K. If it's a legal thing, I correct them. If it isn't I just ignore it.

The spelling bit is ok with most people. It's just when I say my name 'Nathaniel' that people forget and call me Daniel :( it gets annoying. Which is why I like Nathan better :)

People butcher my last name all the time. Even if I spell my name out for somebody they always put an "r" in there and there is no "r" in my name!!

I am a girl and my last name is Manly, just guess how many people mess it up just because they think it's weird that a girl has the last name of Manly. It is pronounced just as it looks, Man-ly. Many people have called me Mainly or Maning. Where the second one came from I don't know.

yes all the time even if i spell it my first and last names sometimes people are lazy call you what they want or are ignorant and don't care to get it correct it happens with the street i live on also it makes me crazyyyyyyy
