Also try vinegar and dish soap in a juice glass, i just read to put plastic tied with a rubber band and poke holes in it..they get in and die. I guess they cant figure out how to get out if they dont drown themselves first. I am having this same problem at work right now. I put out the glasses and it does kill them but they are still here. I'm going to try the plastic and also clean out the p-trap. I tried drano it didn't work i guess. I have no food out so i dont know where these little buggers are coming from. They are driving me crazy!

Either coming from houseplants or your sink.

If from the plants, they are soil gnats living on organic matter. A dilute soap solution poured through the soil and allowed to sit about 10 minutes and then rinsed through should work.

If in the sink, pour a good cleaner down the sink.....PineSol for example, put in the stopper......and leave for a few hourse (due to intense smell) When you come back rinse with very hot water.

Promise you, Apple Cider Vinegar will do the trick. Pour a plastic cup and let it sit in the sink. My friend had really bad infestation, I think within two days and a few cups strategically placed in the trouble areas they were gone. **You wrote additional comments and said vinegar isn't working. Apple cider vinegar worked for us in about 2 days. Are you using only regular vinegar like the last comment or did you try apple cider vinegar? If that doesn't work over 2-3 days you should probably contact an exterminator.
