I started by period about 2 years ago, but I think I want to start using tampons instead of pads because pads give me wedgies and they're hard for me to workout in. Which tampon company do you think is the best for leak coverage? (i usually have a heavy and light period.)

You DON'T have to wait until you are 21 before you use tampons!! As long as you change them every 6 hours, you won't have to worry about TSS! A tampon needs to be in for alot longer than 8 hours before you get TSS.

If you are going to be moving around alot, you might want to try using Playtex Sport. They move with you. For first time tampon users I'd suggest a slender (or teen) tampon with a PLASTIC applicator. The applicator kinds are much easier to insert than the OB kind.

everybody is different so a brand that works for me well might not work for you. start of with the lowest absorbency you feel you need and if it is not enough move up to a higher absorbency. i prefer Playtex a bit more than Tampax but they pretty much do their jobs.

OB works great, it actually expands outward and in length, so it blocks most leaks. There are multi packs available for various types of period flow.

DON`T USE TAMPONS AT YOUR AGE!
YOU'LL TOXIC SHOCK SYNDROME.
Always Ultra thin maxi's with wings are so thin and comfortable, the wings cover the sides so that you don't get leaks and plus they are stuck in one place so there is no wedges.
For tampon use, use the protection that is below your actual needs. If your cycle is heavy, buy the regular protection, not the super.
O.B. tampons are the only tampons without the applicator so it adapts to any female, any size, the protection is great, although I recommend wearing a ultra thin maxi underneath just in case of accidential leaks.
Tampax has a cardboard applicator, it's protection is the best according to most women, however you should wear an ultra thin maxi underneath just case of accidential leaks.
Playtex tampons has a plastic applicator and that is terrible.
Very uncomfortable.
Any ways, just wear Always Ultra Thin maxi`s with wings.
Forget tampons, wait until you're over the age of 21.
