I have a cingular 8125 and i want to get the sony ericsson w580i, but i like internet of the 8125. Can the w580i do the same things as the 8125

Probably not. They are two completely different phones. If you like the internet on the 8125, you will HATE it on the w580i. If you like internet, get an iPhone. It is the BEST phone for internet, hands down. It has WiFi and everything. If you cannot afford one, try a blackberry like a Pearl or a Curve.

as you can see, the sony ericsson allows tethering. this capability will allow your device to access much faster internet speeds, probably the only thing your current cingular device does not support. Browser settings seem to be very similar from both though. The sony seems a bit better, but just a bit, so if you are comfortable with what you have it won't be much of a change except for your internet speed capabilities.
