Is Bryan McCabe worth the money the Leafs are paying him? Could the Leafs have got a better player for less $

McGiveaway is useless. As a Leaf fan I keep hoping he'll get hurt and be lost for the season. That should mean they will have a shot at winning another dozen games.
McCabe is the top reason JF Jr should be fired.

Are you kidding me, the guy is a pylon.
As usual the Laffs hugely overpay a player because he had a good year and the next year he tanks. Think McCabe is going to put up those numbers he had last year, ain't going to happen.
Kaberle is another one, when you consider this guy to be your top defenceman you are in big trouble.

mcabe is not worth the cash he gets paid, but there is little they can do. the leafs are streatched thin on the cap, and i think he has a no-trade clause. even if he doesnt, no team will want to pick up that kind of tab. the leafs are thin on defense and regardless of how good toskala is, look for anotehr year of high goals against numbers.

Im a Leafs fan and even I say no...the thing is, he makes way to much money for the low skill he has, the other thing is they cant get rid of him because he makes way to much money and because no one will take him...so he could just sit and lay on the ice, and be paid for nothing.

he is not worht the money they are paying him but they probably couldnt get a betetr player for less. that woudl require a trade at the deadline, they wouldnt get much for him. good defensman are hard to come by most of the good ones are signed long term or come up through the ranks of one organization. mccabe is overpayed but somebody has to be
