No and nor do I think it's going to happen soon. It's just that people freak out easily and think the end of the world is coming soon.

Ahhhhh.... polcalypse... scmockalypse!!

I've already lived thrtough ten of them.. there was supposed to be one in 1980, then again in 1999, then Nostradamus said another one would happen in 2000 and the world freaked out over the Y2K bug.. and after spending BILLIONS it turned out to be a hoaxe..

The only apocolpse is man made degredation of our planet which will in effect evnetuially turn us all into warring slaves for the limited resources left over.. like food and water which we will one day fight over.. now THAT will be a man against man.. all out apocolypse!!

When's the next one due anyway??

Absolutely. Asteroids, black holes at the center of every galaxy, nuclear holocaust. Those are very reasonable fears. As for the Bible Apocalypse... I don't believe in fairy tales.

People since the dawn or recorded history have feared the apocalypse. History has been recorded for about 6500 years now, and it hasn't happened yet.

You've got more important things to worry about.

No I fear the things that can lead to an Apocalypse.

Nukes.
Guns.
Weapons of mass destruction.
Space rocks.
Volcano eruption.
Emergence of a new air borne virus.

So let's try to get rid of those things that we can.
I am sure that would make some of my fear subside.

" 'FEAR, itself', is nothing to be afraid of."

"DEATH, is unavoidable. The only trouble is, nothing will or
ever will 'FEEL GOOD' about it. A heart attack will hurt, a
lethal wound, poisoning, disease, burn, suffocation, etc.."

"The APOCALYPSE, is equally unavoidable. I may or may
not be alive to see how it transpires."

no, because I am a Jehovah's Witness--
if anything, I look forward to Har'mageddon as the end of this system of woes

It depends in what form it comes in. If I die quickly .. no problem. I just don't want to lay there dying of some "bird flu" illness for weeks on end. Otherwise .. it just depends on if you are afraid of death or not. Good Luck ! :)
