My laptop has been going pretty slow so I decided to try to defrag it. While it's analyzing, it gets up to 60% analyzed and says it can't finish because of an error in C:\Documents and Settings\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content............ (the rest is a bunch of letters and numbers)...How can I fix this? I tried going into the Doc & Settings folder but I don't see Local Settings from there.

it sounds like you have a corrupted file in your temporary internet folder. First, clear out that folder, by going to : start, programs, accessories, system tools, disc cleanup. Then, make sure temporary internet files is selected, and delete those files. You should be running that little program at least once per week.

Restart your PC in safe mode. Just start your computer holding your finger down on the F5 key and it will ask you which mode you want to start in. Select safe mode. Then defrag your PC. When done restart your computer.
