use a tailor

A tailor or seamstress might be able to give you a little more room if there is any extra fabric in the seams. Letting out might result in some sewing seams being visible, depending on the fabric. If it is tight under the arms, a gusset can be added. Another thought is moving the front buttons towards the edge a pinch.

They say size doesn't matter, but with shirts, size matters. A tight shirt is a horrible thing to look at.

Take the shirt to a tailor. They will either be able to let the seams out, or tell you you're out of luck. They should be able to make you a shirt just like the one you have, but to your size.

But brace yourself, most shirts cannot be made larger.

Try when you where it to have somebody pull from the bottom of the shirt to make it longer. As far as the sleeves stretch them out by pulling them.

I would ask her where she bought it and then go there with the shirt and ask for an EXCHANGE for it in a larger size. Sometimes they're willing to do this (most of the time, really), rather than giving you your money back. Good luck!

It all depends on the material of the shirt. If it is cotton, you can easily stretch it with your hands. Also, when launder the shirt, you can leave it slightly damp and put it on then so that the fibers are wet and will stretch better. :)

what iw ould do is either wear it like under your clothes for a day before you want to wear it out..or just around the house

or just keep putting it on and taking it off
this will make it a little baggier and it will be stretched out more.

when you wash it it will shrink back again

but that is what i usually do.
