How do you know if it's not a spirit wanting you to "think" that's what that person is thinking.? Even if that person is thinking those thoughts..the thoughts might be "coming into their mind" via a spirit and might not be at all what that person really believes or feels.(Hope this wasn't confusing) (This comes from personal experiences)Didn't you ever have a thought come into your head and say, "Where did THAT (thought) come from???"You KNOW it's not YOUR thought. Then , somebody reads your mind & thinks it's YOUR thought, but it's NOT.!!lol (you might need to read this again)lol

Kimber..See.."frog face" didn't come from THAT person's thoughts, but from a spirit. Did you think it was THAT person's thought...or a spirit? I know that feeling of "making a fool of yourself".Also, if he hadn't been familiar with spiritual things...this might have scared him...or he might have thought you were evil.Lucky for you, he believed.

gigi..THANK YOU SO MUCH...the same things happened to me..and like you..it "drove me crazy". I found myself trying to figure out what they were thinking I was thinking. And thoughts would come into my head that I KNEW weren't my thoughts. And this happened with a church group.(a group 'within' the church).

In order to help people in M.H..or any area..you need to be informed..about MANY things and MANY possibilities. I don't believe you can be "close minded" and help anyone. And I think the only way you can acquire "wisdom" is to have gone through experiences. Knowledge and wisdom are different. Knowledge can be learned through books. Wisdom costs dearly ( &I don't mean $$) I'm seeking knowledge & wisdom on here(from others who've had to "pay the price" to learn.)

thank you for your question, it really makes sense as I had sth happen to me before along what you mentioned, I am not psychic myself but am quite intutitive...I have been in such a situation where psychic people were reading my mind without my consent & it really made me self-conscious about my thoughts & made me feel careful of every little thought I had....I am not blaming them but it drove me crazy....I mean we all have lots of thoughts lie you mentioned & you can't always control every little thought & you think where that thought came from & it is totally meaningless &has no intentionsd behind it... how do you protect yourself from people reading your mind? I continually ask for the white light of the Holy Spirit to surround me & protect me & I wonder if that might help...
thank you & God bless you for writing this, I have been struggling with this issue for a long time & it has clarified it for me.

Isn't teleportation in which you'll be able to cross from one location to an additional within the blink of a watch? Like Nightcrawler? And is not telekenisis is being equipped to transport stuff round? Like Carrie? I'd decide on teleportation since then I might avert visitors and lengthy traces in public restrooms..........

The way I put it is that another persons thoughts have a different flavor (the only way I can describe it). I can hear my wife's thoughts very often and I answer questions she asks before she verbalizes it. She is freaked out by it but I know when there is a malicious thought that it is usually from a spirit or entity that is harmful. Most people are projecting there thoughts and it can be measured electronically but however the receptors in some people are stronger than others. But I know when I am picking up strong base emotions like anger, hate, love, lust, sadness etc... however they can also be projected via body language. But we still have this ability that goes beyond normal physical language.

Denie, it bothers me that someone who believes in things like mind reading and spirits that put thoughts into your mind could be rated a top contributor, in Mental Health of all things. Don't you worry that you could be damaging innocent, impressionable people with such irrational, senseless ideas? I hope you don't talk about these kinds of things in the mental health section. The people who ask questions there are already having a hard enough time dealing with reality and we don't need them thinking that people can read their thoughts or that demons are putting evli thoughts into their heads. I have thoughts pop up in my head out of nowhere but I don't think it's spirits putting thoughts in my head, instead I take responsibility for it. I also don't try to convince myself that superstitious ideas are possible. If you're that bored with life why don't you try seeking something new like skydiving or playing music in a band, or maybe try helping some people, it's actually quite fulfilling.

How do I know it's not from a mischievous spirit? Trust, honestly. My spirits guides are extremely protective of me, because I have had a demon in my house, when I first began to open up. Nothing that could even remotely hurt me can touch me. Yes, I do have that much faith, because my guides have and still do work very hard to make sure I know that I'm safe.
What do you do in a situation like that? Ask. "Whose thought was that?" And listen carefully to the answer you get. Ask that only spirits who are in service to the light and who have your highest good be allowed to contact you. Ask for a gatekeeper (a 'bouncer'), and then trust that it won't happen again.

It is up to the person who is "hearing" the voice, is it not?
I am not Psychic, I am what I call a "Sensitive". It is kind of like knowing something is there but I can't quite put my finger on it. I don't hear words from other people, I feel emotions. I always know where the "feelings" are coming from and I would think it would be the same for Psychics who hear words.

Sorry, but this question and its mystical answers are one long pile of crap. Ask mystical questions in Mythology & Folklore. This is Science & Mathematics. "Psychics" have no special abilities. People can't "hear" other people's thoughts. Snap out of it people, join the real world.

I am not a psychic. I was wondering about that myself. I am not saying all psychics are phony, but what they see and hear are definitely someone else rather than the person whom they think it is.

Adtually I do not always know. I have thought that it was just the rocks in my head clicking together.... but I generally get messaages for other people in my dreams and when the message is something like "Do the Frog Face" and it is for someone that you barely know and you are supposed to approach this person cold with out even knowing what this means.... well, I would say that is quite a message. It took me two weeks to approach this person with my message.... and when I did, he was very receptive to what I was telling him and did not find what I was saying a shock, he grew up with a mother that had some psychic ability (who knew? I thought he would laugh in my face and tell everyone else what a nut job I was). And "Do the Frog Face" made perfect sense to him. I still do not know what it means. HE initially tried to deny that he knew what it meant, but that was only because he thought that I knew what it meant. ha ha ha.
Sometimes I just get knowledge of someone else, suddenly and complete, like it was something that I know for a fact, when in fact I did not know anything at all prior to that. In example a woman I met at the pool I go to was telling me a story about her Dad when I felt compelled to ttell her "You know he didn't commit suicide".... she said "I know it remains a debate but I still think he killed himself".... now I never discussed her father with her before, we talked about children and who was to bring the snacks... not deep personal stuff. She did not even bat an eyelash that I knew this about her father. I just felt compelled and said my statement with such certainty, because the message wasn;t from me.

I think its immoral to get in other people's heads, so I don't bother unless someone is lost or something, try to see through their eyes, make an anonymous call to the cops, and hope I'm right. Most of the time I am.... and Madelaine? Can't get a thing from her, either she is dead, extremely ill or weak, or in a different country than the one she went missing from. Sorry...
