I bought my PC 4 years ago, It's a packard bell, yes i know.. crap. it's been upgraded since then.. but i want to buy some new RAM and I was wondering if

would work.. I havn't changed the Motherboard from the original so i'm wondering if this is too fast maybe?

You can go to crucial.com and you can do a scan, it will tell you exactly what you need. You can even purchase it from them.

No way! If you are planning for a RAM upgrade, then go for DDR 333 (PC2700), or possibly DDR400 (PC3200), but DDR 333 is more realistic compared to the age of your machine, DDR 400 may not work to it's full potential, or may not work at all because machines bought from the shops insead of DIY ones tend to take strange voltages on RAM etc, for example the max voltage for RAM on your mobo may be 2.5 volts, whereas most DDR400 is 2.6 volts. I must not that for some strange reason DDR RAM is more expensive than DDR2 :-s. Hope this helps!

I seriously doubt it will work. 4 years ago is very old in computing age. You're probably still using DDR 333Mhz or at most 400Mhz. No DDR2 667Mhz for sure. Not in a Packard Bell anyways.

Your should look up the board from the manufacturer and find out the max capacity of RAM it can handle.

Take hunters advice. Go to the Crucial.com website, tipe in your PCs modle# if its a Pavilion, select and then type in the model #.

unfortunately because your computer is 4 years or older your pc will not be able to take the ram you stated
