In this novel he explains the ways in which religions and zoos are both steeped in illusion. If you are athiest, you could tell me about some seemingly unrealistic events. I need to discuss the "illusion" part.

What comes to mind first is the weird island they stopped at. I'm sorry I can't reference it or give you page numbers, as I lent out my copy of the book. You might want to talk about the tiger and how his relationship with Pi was symbiotic. In fact it was entirely symbolic. Think of it this way - is there any way you could split yourself in half and take out your more violent and untamed nature? Or is it necessary for you to make peace with yourself and try to manitain a working relationship with all the different part?
