It depends on the species of shark.
Some species of shark are unable to stop swimming so they do not have the ability to find a safe spot to rest for a bit. With species like that they more or less sleep swim, kinda like how humans sleep walk. Enough of the brain is shut down to allow the mind/body to rest, while a small part stays in function to keep the shark swimming.
On the flip side there are species of shark that do have the ability to stop swimming. With those they more or less just find a safe spot (under the sand, in rocks, etc) for a nap.

Because of its design a shark must keep moving or it will drown so even though it sleeps it keeps moving.
