The meanings of each name go very nicely with eachother, but I can't say that I am a fan of the one-syllable trend.

Hi,
I think that's it's entirely up to you to decide, the name you decide will probably mean something that you care about.
My opinion is that Miko is pretty cute name, and it's meaning is great, Sol Maria also is a nice meaning, exempt maybe a Maria would sound better.
It's up to you, and good luck with your decision.

Not really my style, but if you like them, that's what counts.
By the way, Maria does not mean "sea." Maria come from Mary, which has disputed origins, it probablymeans "beloved" or "love." Marina means "sea."

I definitely like the 2nd name better, but it would sound better if you just used the Maria.
