I doubt side bangs are mentally stupid, but a bunch of people copied it from the Emo/Scene/Hardcore groups, they started sidebangs and they were kinda cool in 2006, i had some because no one else did (and i'm not emo!) but now they are just not even worth cutting your hair for. the trend has died out pretty quickly.

ok it's not like i hate them(i do think they look really good on some people),it's just, not the bangs for everyone. it fits certain people's faces really good but others.... no.they don't look good in them. i happen to think i'm one of the "no". (i don't think bangs would work with my face) as for it being a trend yeah it's overdone already b/c so many people have them. if less people had them it wouldn't be too annoying.
yeah i would agree it looks a lot better when it's not covering the person's eyes.

I love side bangs, I have them.
Some peoples can't pull it off; Ashlee Simpson is one.

Not for blondes (no offense or anything!) and not over the eyes. Now that must be painful.
A small one is fine, just not over the eyes and nothing goth....

It looks bad on her. It looks cute on some people. My hair has gone through every type of bangs you could imagine.

it doesnt look that bad, but its really generic. My cousin (shes puerto rican) but I tell you, she acts like the whitest girl i know. She has the exact same hairstyle
