Seeing family suffer, and not being able to help, seeing people in pain and not being able to take it away, seeing sick children and not being able to cure them, ALTHOUGH YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO TAKE ALL THE WORRIES AWAY, YOU ARE ABLE TO DO SOMETHING.....MAKE THEM SMILE.....AND THE SUFFERING GOES AWAY AT THAT VERY SECOND, MAKE THEM SMILE AND THE PAIN IS FORGOTTEN AT THAT VERY SECOND, MAKE THEM SMILE AND THAT CHILD WILL FORGET ABOUT THEIR PROGNOSIS.
DON'T BE SAD WITH THEM, LIFT A SPIRIT.....

On a very serious note, the one thing that makes us very sad is the amount of young people who self-harm. This is a disease of society. We do not envy the young of today because they seem to have so much pressure put on them....school, family, their peers, to name a few. School life is rough, especially if the young person is individual and doesn't follow the mainstream trends/fashion. Yes, this makes us very sad. Also, the amount of young people who binge on alcohol as a form of entertainment but when local councils don't provide facilities for our youngsters what else is there for them to do?! We both get sad if our daughter is unhappy, I get sad if Tc is unhappy and Tc gets sad if I'm unhappy. There are a lot of things that make us sad but we try to bring a smile to at least one person everyday (incl. ourselves).

A child judged.
It may be the colour of their skin, or their social class, their accent, their lack of social skills, their lack of education....
All these things are terrible when a child has no chance to change anything.
That is the greatest sadness for me in this world. All children should have more equal chances.

Where do you start.Lots of things! Fortunately lots of things make me happy too so it balances out.
The thing that makes me saddest is the constant stream of young people dying on the roads here in Ireland. What a dreadful waste of life and my heart goes out to their families.

I'm one of those ultra-sensitive Pisces, so every single negative thing makes me sad.
But here are the biggest offenders:
Innocent people dying in unjust wars, especially children.
Cruelty towards (and apathy about) helpless animals.
The destruction of the environment by people who, in doing so, will reap huge profits.
Humans' inhumanity to their fellow humans, especially when it involves racism.
Please excuse me while I go cry :((
