I think Polish people are hard working and intelligent. They're resourceful and faithful. If I sound just a little biased, it's probably because I married a Polish man and have 4 children who are the joys of my life. I once went through the entire encyclopedia and found all of the famous Polish people to counteract all of the stupid Pollack jokes my husband was hearing. I cant forget that before Pope Gregory, we had a wonderful Polish Pope. I'm afraid I never did get to taste the wonderful Polish foods because my mother-in-law wasnt a very good cook. My oldest daughter and her husband went to visit Krakow and they were enthralled with all of the history and the people. Unless you couldnt tell, I'm very proud to have Polish blood in my family.

Well, I haven't met all Polish people. But my ex-roommate/friend was Polish and so I hung around a lot of her Polish friends, etc.

I like Polish food and homemade Polish Vodka is really good. They seem to be open people, who enjoy diversity. The ones I met seemed well schooled and better educated than American kids, most knew more than two languages. The women seemed more mature and "proper" in my opinion, so did the men. I like their accents :0) They seem to know waaay more about America than Americans know about them. Polish women seem more domestic, imo.

Edit:

And most of the Polish women I know can drink any American man under the table. No joke. They can hold their alcohol well, but I think most people know that ;)

I used to sell shoes in a department store and this older man came in and said he used to know Bob Hope. (I didn't believe him but I was didn't let him know that) So anyway he starts telling me jokes and he says Polish women are the strongest women in the world, because they raise dumb bells. So I just smiled at him, and I wanted to tell him so badly that my mom is Polish!!!!LOL! Well 1/2 at least. I told her what happened and she laughed. So to answer your question, I love my Grandfather, he is polish, and he also made the deans list every year he was in college. I have only had some polish cooking it was good when I used to eat pork I used to love it. No complaints just wanted to share that story with you!

Polish people and culture are great, as are all Slavic people. Also, to person above me, Polish people are not naturally tanned at all, in the least. But he could have been frying himself in a tanning booth, especially if he lived in the US.

They produce very fine Popes. Sausages are manefique. Jokes about them are really funny. I was talking on the phone to a Polish man. I asked what race he belonged to and he said he was born in Poland. As we talked I asked again about his race. He said everyone born in Poland is white. This was a real conversation. The jokes are much funnier. I like Poles and wish we had more in our community.

Poles outwardly seem very unfriendly (maybe it's the cold weather). Anyway I have lots of Polish friends and they are awesome. Another plus is there is always food at their houses :)
