The quick answer to the question as written, just begs for a wisecrack. "it takes two to tango..."?
"Infertility" is defined as a couple who have regular sex for a year and still can't conceive.
If this is you... The first thing to do is get tested. It's quicker and simpler to test the guy. If he's the problem, you have several options, with varying degrees of laugh factor to go with the choices.
If it's the female's fault, there are some drugs that help ovulation, at the risk of multiple births.
Sometimes there is no simple answer why.

Hi there,
If after a year of trying you have been unsuccessful, you should go to your primary doctor for a referal to a specialist. Also, if you are over 35, you should see the specialist sooner.
