I have 3 dogs, 5 cats, 2 rabbits, 2 temporary foster kittens and 45 tarantulas all of which live inside my little 1100 sq foot house..
With all that fur in the house, I vacuum on a daily basis. I mop on a weekly basis. I also change out the furnace filter a lot more often then most people would have too.
I dust in a different room everyday too to keep up with any fur that ends up on things. Every few days I vacuum anything upholstered.
I dump litter boxes every single day..
It's just about staying on top of it.. If you take even just a few days off from cleaning the place would be a disaster. But, that's what you have to commit to if you want to keep that many pets.
My parents can't believe how clean my house is when they come to visit. My Dad has allergies to pets and can even stay over without problems. Though, I'll say the better quality vacuum I have contributes to that.

1) Buy a good vacuum with a HEPA filter in it (about $200) and vacuum the room the birds are in every single day. 2) Buy a good HEPA air purifier (about $100) for the room the birds are in and run it 24/7. Make sure the air purifier is just a HEPA filter. You don't want an ionizer feature because there is evidence this is harmful to birds and maybe even people! 3) Change cage paper daily and wipe any obvious poop or messes in/on cage or on floor, etc, up on a daily basis. Ten minutes every day means that you don't have to spend an hour once per week after the mess has built up. 4) Offering the birds a bath several times per week can also help reduce the dust on them. Your cockatiels, like african greys and cockatoos, are the only hookbills with powder down feathers. These are special feathers that crumble into powder as the birds preen. this is where all the dust is coming from. I have a Grey so you can imagine the dander in my house. The above things have helped a lot.

wow, some of these people have a lot of pets! i thought i had a lot. i have two dogs and a cat right now. I have a big apartment, but they can still make some bad messes. i really have to give credit to those who do have so many pets and can still keep their house so clean. honestly, i do have problems keeping up with my animals. i have to scoop out the litter box several times a day (my cat's pee smells REALLY bad) and i fully change the litter a couple times a week. My dogs are house trained (besides the occasional accident) and whenever they have an accident I use a mixture of hot water and dish soap to clean it up. I have carpet so I do need to vacuum quite often. My cat is always knocking things down, so I am constantly picking things up. Its just a day by day upkeep. But they are worth it.

I have somewhere around 22 animals.. keeping the house clean is somewhat of a job 5 are dogs and 2 are cats so I am continuously cleaning and when I let the the 4 ferrets run I have to keep am eye on them because they get into everything... lol
the others are in cages so its not that bad.

I have two large dogs (golden retrievers) and a cat. All are reliably housetrained so that is not an issue at all. While I was housetraining, I used a product called Urine-off that you can get from vets and online and it was invaluable.

Hair is our major issue. I got rid of carpets and now we have wood floors and tile and area rugs. I have a good vacuum and a Roomba and use them frequently. The dogs go to the groomer once a month and I brush them in between. The cat gets brushed regularly too.

Our dogs are trained to stay off furniture and beds and they are trained not to go into certain rooms (kitchen, living room and guest room (because we have some friends who visit that are allergic). They have their own beds with removable covers that I wash periodically. The rugs I have in the rooms they are allowed in are easily cleanable and not so expensive that I care if they get thrown away after a few years.

Despite 3 hairy pets, I have a pretty clean house.

We have 3 dogs, 3 cats, 3 birds, 4 rats, and a guinea pig. It's not hard to keep the house clean-I just clean it!

we have 6 cats, 1 lovebird, 1 hamster, fish, and are getting a rabbit.

it is easy to keep your house clean when you love your animals so much that you will do anything to keep them. (our mom gets mad if the house isn't clean) Lol, but anyway...the cats are litter trained, so that helps. we just have to clean and change it once a week, which is kind of pain, but i do it. having pets is a huge responsibility that requires you to clean more, but i would clean up any extra mess from a cat knocking down a vase, to a hamster spreading bedding all over, to our lovebird shooting his seed all over the floor just because i want to be able to keep them healthy and happy, as well as our home.

I have two cats and I keep my house clean by keeping them outside. My husband makes a mess and I want him to stay outside but he can reach the door knob and has a key...

One inside dog and 3 outside dogs. I do vacuum alot and when my youngest two were babies (they are now 3) I thought they may have been in the running for the Guiness Book record on consuming dog hair : )
