Why do the Christian extremist feel they need to stop all abortions? Shouldn’t they just worried about there own children and them self’s? I once knew a girl who was raped and got pregnant and decided not to have the baby. How do you tell her she was wrong? I mean I don't agree with abortion as a form of birth control but I could never expect for everyone to think the way I do. And I believe only the person in there own particular situation can understand how they feel.

Christians who feel that abortion is wrong feel that way because they believe that abortion is murder. Should we look the other way when someone we don't know is murdered? Should we all just worry about our own children and ourselves? According to your logic, we should only be concerned when someone murders our own children. What if our neighbor was robbed? Do we do nothing? It didn't happen to us, right? What if my best friend was sexually abused? It's not me that was abused, so I should just ignore that, right?
One idea is that conciensous people act when they see something happening that they strongly believe should be stopped.
Another idea is (and this is the reason that I am against abortion) who is protecting the rights of those tiny, unborn people who are being aborted? I understand the point of view that a woman has the right to do what she chooses with her own body, but what about the rights of that little, unborn woman who is about to be aborted? Who is looking out for her rights?

We don't feel like we need to stop ALL abortions. Most of us make an exception in the case of saving the life of the mother.

But the reason we're against abortions is because we believe it takes the life of an innocent human being. Telling us to worry about our own kids sounds about as crazy to us as if somebody drown their kids in a bathtub and said, "Hey, if you don't like drowning kids in bathtubs, then don't drown your own children, but don't tell ME what to do." That's crazy talk.

In the case of rape, I don't think it justifies abortion. Why kill the baby for something his dad did? It's not HIS fault his mother was raped. Surely you wouldn't kill a toddler just because he was the product of a rape.

What do you have against abortion? If the unborn are not human beings, then there's nothing wrong with abortion. It's no more wrong than having a bunyon removed. So why NOT use it as a method of birth control?

But if it IS a human being then how can you be so permissive about other people having abortions?

she couldn't bear the thought of giving a piece of herself away, but how could could she handle KILLING a piece of herself. I don't go around telling people what to do with their lives, but of course i knew if i was in that situation what i would have done (not an easy decision). I just can't bear the thought of having a little being inside my belly, a part of me, suffering and dying, unable to defend itself.

And i don't even read the bible, so this is a personal point of view. Based on my own view of life

I don't think a baby out of rape "belongs" to God. I think that is a twisted comment to even make. To answer your question, maybe Christians see it as murder or whatever and they are trying to save lives. I feel it is up to the individual on whether they should have one or not. Adoption is always an option because there are a lot of people out there that wouldn't care how the baby was conceived,...they just want one to love. But like I said, it is up to the individual as far as I am concerned. What they feel in their heart they can handle.

Its quite complicated.

Christians believe that each child has a right to life, regardless.
They say that each person is born with a clean slate, and they are free to mold themselves into whatever person they want to be.

Pro-choice groups state that the child was not planned of a lawful/loving union, and that it is the mothers choice to do with her body as she pleases, as it is her responsibility.

The mother often feels she has been unfairly placed a burden, social, physical and unlawfully so.
They are the only ones who know truly what it feels like.

Abortion is an emotional thing and I never want anything to do with it. But it should be the woman's right to choose no matter how horrible you think it might be. That is only my opinion of course. There are plenty more opinions on this topic.

If you killed a woman 6 months pregnant you would be tried for double murder. Why is that? Maybe because their is a person in her belly, maybe??? Yes then it is murder so why is it ok for a doctor to do it? Didn't they arrest Dr. Kevorkian for doing that right? Also I hate the argument that women have the right do decide, sorry but you should have used proper protection after your pregnant that is a gift from God.

it's not about "morality;" they just want to tell people what to do.

when you are the only one who is "right," the only "true" spokesperson for a god, you give yourself permission to stick your nose into everyone else's business.
