This is a tough one! I have neither in my marriage, but I have plenty of friends, male & female, so I guess it's the passion I miss most!

Friendship is needed for a lasting marriage. With any luck passion will remain too. After 15-1/2 yrs of marriage, I still have the hots for my wife.

Friendship because friendship last forever and passion only last so long. Friendship gets you through all the ups and downs of life and passion can't do that.

Friendship should come first because you are supposed to be friends with the other person before you are married. Passion can come and go but you still may want the other person's friendship.

O.K. the passion is there before children and then again after the children leave the nest. It is impossible to regain passion on a regular basis when the kids are young. I would rather have a best friend I could grow old with although I can't complain about the passion in my marriage.

A happy marriage cannot survive with out one nor the other, but if i had to choose it would definitely be passion. Its o.k if my husband would look for friendship in other people but i would never want him to look for passion somewhere else.

I wouldn't have the relationship because it takes both components to produce a healthy relationship. Sorry, I wanted to say passion but it just wouldn't work in the long run.
