I remember the first earth day. Now for Earth day I buy a plant for the community garden the last few years have been rose bushes. One neighbor bought another an earth day gift plant and she asked if it was ok if she planted it in the community garden so that gave me the idea to start. I dig the hole and put the bareroot bush in a bucket of water then call the neighbor and tell her that her earth day gift is in the the bucket in the garden. She plants them while I am at work the next day.

I'm involved in animal rights issues and care about the environment, so of course I knew about it. I look foward to it and try to take part in helping with a clean up, etc. I'm also a recycling nut and pick up litter when I can. I really don't understand people who litter, I mean #1 how can someone be so careless and not realize (or care) about the after effects of their actions and #2 why would you want to destroy and degrade the environment we live in? Maybe it's just me, but I don't get it.

I tottally knew Earth day excisted but u only really know that if youy have a son or a daughter in Elementary School or Middle School or you are in Elementary or Middle School!!!

I do. every earth day i volunteer and take a bunch of little kids to clean up our town, and teach them about the earth and show them where garbage goes and show them how to recycle
