OK.The late great Owen Hart fell to his death that day..

Why in the hell WWE decided to continue the show besides the fact that Owen was pronnounced dead?
Jim Ross announced the sad news but only to the people were watching at home..Why's that??
It was more important to bring money & ratings than to inform everyone and pay tribute or something like that??(i know that the next day WWE paid tribute to him but..)
In my opinion,it was very stupid and immature by their side to continue the show..

Your thoughs..

Rated R Shaman:
J.R announced his death before the main event. So,they possibly knew it before some matches. And if they have been informed exactly before the main event..they should have to stop the show..

Misshilidy:If it was that way, that's fine with me..but i think they should have stopped the show and pay tribute the next day as they did.
What if an Owen Hart's member of his entire family was in the crowd and he/she didn't knew what's going on.Possibly they could have informed her by phone. But imagine this scene...
All the fans being happy and cheering for the show(cause they didn't know what's going on) and him/her that he/she had only recieved the sad news...

I Totally Agree, But The People Paid To See a Pay Per Veiw And Thats What Vince Gave Them, If it Was Me I Would Have Rather Paid Tribute To Owen As you said a True Legend.

OR All The Matches Could Have Been Dedicated To Owen And They Could Have had a Few Promos Honoring Him.

Well here is the story. After the news of Owens death was spread around the locker room. VKM(and I hardly ever say anything nice about him) went to the wrestlers and asked them if they wanted to continue the show. It was their choice. They all agreed that they should continue as a tribute to Owen. It was not a case of $ it was a case of respect.

Well, what happened was that when Owen fell he was only knocked out. He was not dead. The show went on while Hart went to the hospital. After Over the Edge, Owen died in the hospital. THEN, they did a tribute.

you can argue on both sides, personally i agree with you but the famous WWE saying is "_____ would of wanted the show to go on." depending on whether that is true or not, no one will ever know the truth.
Owen hart had a fear for heights, he accidentally triggered the quick release chain too quickly and fell to his death. Is this a tragedy, of course but that apparently doesn't concern vince mcmahon. the only thing that matters to him is his money. i agree that the show should of been stopped, but money's not the only reason it went on, it if was a title match and wrestlers would of been angry that they didn't get their title they were promised.

I agree but in a truth I think Owen would have wanted it known to everyone but the show to continue, yes Vince is going to need all his money to buy TNA.

I think that "Owen would have wanted it that way" line is crap. That was just an excuse to continue the show. WWE didn't want to send fans home and give refunds to everyone that spent money on the pay per view.

They continued the show because he was not pronounced dead until later on in the night and all those people that payed to go to the arena for the ppv. Owen we will never forget you!

I agree with you. But what do you expect from Vince McMahon? The guy who has a terrorist storyline the day of the bombings in England (back in 05.) The guy who exploited the death of Eddie Guerrero into a way to further Ortons character and make money. Its not surprising. Vince is a douche...
