i use it more as a full stop!

exclamation marks are really fun! But I think they only should b put, if one wants to underline its previous statement, or if something is obvious or very urgent.
I have the feeling that exclamation marks make your writing style more aggressive. Instead of giving passive and neutral advice, it transforms the same content into more urgent, into a must. It also "sounds" like one was pretty dispaired, at leat in some situations:D ...
So stop using all the time exclamation marks!!!

You may not believe this but I was going to ask almost the same question as this myself!!! I think the exclamation mark is very much over used and abused and I am guilty as hell.

I only use it when im trying to get a point across, it's magic its like it gives extra enthusiasm when used correctly. Over using it just makes it seem plain.
