I am worried about diabetes and things like that. I haven't had any prenatal care, and have not been to the doctor at all (until this week, i guess). I don't eat that many sweets, nor soda, just balanced meals, water and juice as well. I'm just not sure if it's nomal to feel thirsty all the time.

You need to get prenatal care. You can develop diabetes even if you don't eat a lot of sweets. You also need to be checked for other issues, including high blood pressure. Don't wait, get checked. Call Planned Parenthood if you can't afford the doctor, see if they can help you.

excessive thirst can indeed be a sign of diabetes, and in your case, could be gestational diabetes, which occurs during pregnancy. I am confused as to why you have had no prenatal care up until this point. Call the doctor, report the fact that you are unusually thirsty, and have your blood sugar tested. Good luck, and God bless.

I have had 2 children but I don't recall being overly thirsty. I did find an answer to your question that I thought would help you. Check out the link below. I hope you will get yourself to a doctor, it is really important that you be examined. Prenatal vitamins are also very important and you should be taking them to ensure that you are getting sufficient amounts of nutrients that you and your baby need. I wish you and your baby all the best.
