Will it take an alien invasion and colonization of Earth for humanity to come together as one?

Is that the only solution for people to stop hating each other? Like if we were in a position kinda like in the movie Independence Day?

The "alien invasion" is happening right now.
The alien invasion is the ego crushing the true beingness of humanity.

What could happen is, an understanding of the ego.
If people understood the merry dance, it would stop.

I am not talking about religion, that "word" has caused enough wars, and un-love-ly-ness in this world.

As far out there as that possibility is, you are probably right. Events like 9/11 only pulled people together for short amounts of time. Still you must remember this, there are a lot of people who would actually give into an Invasion of Aliens, and try and prevent people from working together to end it. There are always people who think that it is easier to let someone else rule over them, instead of working with a group of people to actually get something done. But to get back to the real answer of this question, if the world is going to come together, it will take something of that magnitude to do it.

There is many reason for the division of humankind and a million books on the subject. There is no amswer with in our ability to apply a workable solution all we can do is our part to maintain a majority that want humankind to be as one if no more than in spirit and objective

People need to group themselves into "teams" (groups, social circles, etc.) to feel socially accepted and important. Once they do that, they want their "team" to be the "winning team". And to have a "winning team" you need to have at least one "losing team". So in a movie like Independace Day, people find the aliens are the "winning team" at everything, so they all merge into one team to try to be the "winning team" again. So in order for all of humanity to be on the same "team" (come together as one, as you put it), it would require some other "losing team", whether that be aliens, robots, animals, plantlife, etc.

erm, i'd pretty much just go over to the aliens and say, "Hi, yeah, take them first, now them, leave her, take them, let him live, but only at my comand.... " and so on. i don't think the world will ever unite, we'd be destroyed if something like that ever happened cause no one wants to work together. We'd fight among ourselves then have them over us so it's 2 on 1 against your own then too, it's tear countries apart..... we're doomed...

We would have to come together just for our survival,but if we survived we would go back to our old ways of hating eachother and just pretending to like eachother.Its normal not to like everyone and nothing will change that permanently.
