While I don’t care for over-generalizations, I cannot think of one (1) conservative's blog, news site or YA participant who bashes America. The same cannot be said of Leftists'…

justgood... - while you are partially wrong in one part of your statement, “You pose as an intellectual but confuse critical thinking with bashing.” You are correct on another.

One can’t “pose” as an intellectual. I am intelligent and very well read and informed thank you.

I am also fed up with “progressives” and their forced tolerance of anything and everything people like me consider immoral. There will come a time when you all get to really understand just how fed up we are.

Many of us are tired of talking and voting and trying to shape this country to our liking. We have a right to do the same as you. “Progressives” are trying to shape America to their liking just the same, and they are making headway due to corruption and “liberal” politicians and we are fed up…

Bekindto... No, not Iraq. What I refer to goes much deeper than that.

progressives hold the lead on condemning Americans.

First, what do you mean "bash America" -- do you mean exercise my constitutionally guaranteed right to use my own mind and form my own judgments, and speak and write them?

Seems to me, what you call America "bashing" is quintessentially an American activity and the highest form of patriotism.

Second, do you consider all the bashing conservatives did during the Clinton administration "America bashing"? Because I'd like to remind you that the conservatives have been in charge, so they have set policy.

Oh, you specify blogs and YA -- which are recent phenomena. (YA isn't 2 years old.)

Those who agree with BushCo aren't going to be "bashing" (that is to say criticizing) their actions, are they?

The people who today complain about progressive and liberal criticism of Bush are the very same people who were shrieking hatred of the previous president.

There were no blogs then, or blogging was just starting, and there was no YA.

If we have a democratic prez next, will you complain of conservatives "bashing" him or her?

I don't condemn America and all Americans. I condemn what's wrong with America, it's immoral and short-sighted, anti-American, and inhuman actions, and I condemn those who aren't bothered by our immoral, short-sighted, anti-American, and inhuman actions.

That's what patriots do.

American conservatism has grown into a cult.Everyone is out to get them and everything that's not slanted to the far right is liberally biased.
Science, truth and facts are all less important than the ideology. It's good to see more and more Americans waking up and realizing they can't take conservatism serious anymore until it rids itself of this cultist spirit.

Progressives are a small minority in your country, most liberals are moderate some are even right of center. The American political climate is however that poisoned by the far right and their attacks dogs that everyone who is left of An Coulter runs the risk of being called a communist

You pose as an intellectual but confuse critical thinking with bashing. That's demagogy and if you really believe that it's sad
Why are you so afraid of factual criticism? Could it be because you are the one living the lie and swallowing the propaganda and everyone who criticizes your beautiful dream is a threat cos they could wake you up and you would have to face the nightmare that is reality?

If you are talking about which Americans are worse about criticizing our government, that's hard to say, because I've heard that from both conservatives and progressives. Progressives think we showed arrogance and lack of judgment in our attack on Iraq. That would be criticizing our standing administration, not the country. To you, that may be one in the same.

Conservatives are more likely to condemn half of the voting age citizens of the country because they disagree with our government's actions. That is condemning America and Americans.

both sides are guilty.

Added. Both sides are guilty of bashing the other,by labeling a fellow American an enemy you have condemned America. What makes this America? The rights we the people have. No where does it say Americans have to agree with each other. Condemning Americans is essentially condemning America
