Of course it's not too late! It's a difficult business to make it in though, so you'd best start working now.

I'd suggest you start out by taking classes at your school and trying out for school plays. If you find yourself loving that, get involved in a youth or community theatre nearby (and still try to keep taking classes at your high school/middle school, as well as trying out for plays). If your still loving both of those and have the time, try out for commercials. Also, if you don't make a part in a play, be a techie (someone who builds set/props, runs lights and sound etc.) that way you're always obtaining more experience and gaining more point of views.

Acting (and theatre in general) is something that takes passion and time. Sometimes getting a part may prove difficult, but if your passionate about it you'll keep trying even after you get what you want.

Are you asking if you can make it by the time you are 18? Cause that's a different question, and the answer is probably not. Now, how do you become an actress? First of all, you do it by yourself. The best way to lose a friend is to try to become actresses together, because when one makes it and the other doesn't the freindship is over, however, trying together doesn't hurt until that happens, so if you want to, go ahead., Now 1-get the support of your parents, you cant do anything until you are 18 without them and you are going to need professional classes, books, and stuff that cost $$. 2. do everything theatrical at school. 3. Get a mentor 4. Take selected professional classes. 5. be in more plays, take more classes. 6. learn to audition and interview 7. prepare resume and headshot 8. apply to agents. 9. after you have some experience and are in SAG, go to LA.

Probably a good age to start. You can avoid a lot of obnoxious child actor mannerisms and you're old enough and perhaps mature enough to approach it as an art and start learning to do it well. But it is very competitive and is almost impossible to make a living at. But it can also be very fulfilling and satisfying even if you can't.

An actor/actress can come in all shapes, sizes, and ages so you can becaome one at any age. They will all ways need old people, young people, short people, tall people, fat people and skinny people. So anyone can be one. And some famous people have definately started later than 18 so go for it and y do u have to wait anyway u dont have to live in california to be an actor. Get an agent were you live.

Yes you can always do that. People do it all the time. ex- Brian Cranston, who plays the dad on Malcolm in the Middle. He began his acting career AFTER college in local and regional theatres, getting his start at the Granada Theatre in the San Fernando Valley, California.
What you should do when you go to Hollywood, is audition for commercials and be part in plays now and theater camps, so you can put something on your resume when you audition, and decide if you like the acting field. Good luck to you and your friend. :]

If you are serious, you should start now. You don't need to be in Hollywood or NY to start doing serious work. Get involved in whatever you can. Craigslist will show you some film opportunities, but don't wait for others. If there isn't an opportunity, create it. Even if it just means performing for family and friends.

Serious does not mean the lack of fun. It will only work out if what you do brings you joy.

Start in theatre first. Then you'll be a respected actress instead of all the watered-down Hollywood crap.
