I went to college got my medical assisting degree and was really excited for this job. When I started everyone was SUPER nice to me...but once I let my guard down and them in on my personal life something changed..I don't know if I affended someone or what..but I think they started to become jelous of me..heres why, I have a 3yr daughter, single out of wedlock, I'm 5"6 and 120lbs...these 5 other girls in the office are all 200lbs plus (not exagerating) and all trying to get pregnant but can't..they would always make comments about it like "oh i hate girls who have babies without trying its not fair" but anyways, they became extremely mean to me! trying to embarrass me infront of patients, talking behind my back, whispering in a huddle and then breaking when I walk in the room. I confronted my boss about it and she talked to them and the harassment still continued, until I confronted my boss AGAIN! after that I was asked to resign..found out I was the 3rd girl they ran out of there!

They are jealous because you had children and they have not. Having you there makes them feel bad that they can't have kids. They are mean to you because they want you to leave because you have kids and they don't, and being mean to those other people worked, they all left.
If you really want this job, ignore them, but if it bothers you, you might want to leave. That is your decision.

I know you have to GET this because I'm a man and I see it all the time. Petty jealousies make women hate on each other like ravenous wolves, and the fact that you're the recipient of it is a testament to your physical charms in comparison to your contemporaries. I can't tell you how many times I've heard women claim to "not have many female friends" or to state that "they just can't get along with other women", so it's obviously a phenomenon that's here to stay for awhile. I'm sorry it's like that for you, but at least you know what you're up against. Best wishes to you and your daughter.

I'm a girl and I'm not mean to anyone at all. It's usually other girls being mean to me, I think. I know I'd never do anything mean to anyone for no reason, unless I'm just joking around.

They're jelous plus there's nothing more interusting for them to do. Stand up for yourself - I know you can. I know it's harsh, but they're as immature as elementary kids :P

girls compete with eachother and if one doesnt succeed, the other girl gets JEALOUS.
i try to stay away from that.
