I think he should.
Ron Paul's message, more than his persona, appeals to Americans from both parties. He is endorsed by more soldiers and more students than any other GOP candidate.
His conservative views are common sense, like abortion being a state, not a federal, issue. He filters everything through the Constitution and his voting record in Congress has proven he is not your typical politician. He even denied the lucrative congressional pension plan. He has never voted to raise taxes.
He voted against the war in Iraq when Hillary and John Kerry voted for it in 2002.
He makes sense about the war, like the boy in the Emperor's New Clothes. We have got to get out of this Empirical Foreign policy or we will go broke and continue to be hated around the globe. Remember it was Gerald Ford, a Republican who ended the Vietnam war by simple bringing the troops home. That's what Ron Paul wants to do.
Nutcase is a harsh word for citizens who want politicians to restore government back to the citizens.

He has stated that he doesn't intend to run as a third party candidate.. and I disagree with your assertion, I am not a "nut" nor have I voted for a republican in the past.. I am looking for a real anti-war candidate.. unlike Hillary who voted for the Iraq war in the past and intends on continuing it possibly even after 2013... I'd like to add, my candidate had better judgment and voted against it and still stands by his position.. **but either way you look at it, this country is horribly misguided.. Hillary Clinton will be our next president

actually it could go either way. If he ran as a third party I would probably vote for him over Hillary, but not other democratic candidates, many republicans would probably vote for him too. A third party vote can hurt the republicans, just like Ross Perot did, but usually yes it hurts democrats.

He has pretty adamantly stated that he would not run as a third party if he does not receive the Republican nomination. I think this will result in a lot of write-in votes.
As I recall, I saw somewhere that the LP would be willing to run him as their candidate if he does not get the Repub nomination. As it goes in politics, a lot can happen in one day. So it remains to be seen.

I find it interesting that you refer to Ron Paul and his supporters as nuts. I assume you also label the Founding Fathers as nuts too? I suppose you also think that the Constitution is just a silly piece of paper?
Ron Paul's campaign is based on actually following the Constitution, something no other candidate seems to want to do.

Ron Paul is a big enough nut run as a third party candidate, but he won't hurt Hillary. Hillary is getting the mainstream vote and the left, ultraleft vote. Ron Paul is only getting the ultra right and nuts that don't know what their doing. Ralf Nader was an ultra left candidate that stole votes almost exclusively from the democratic candidate.

he said he wouldn't , and sorry but the nuts are the ones that keep voting in the people who lie to them and steal from them , but i don't call that nutty i call it stupid
vote 3rd party
time for a real change in America
a vote for a 3rd party is a vote for ideals and belifes not covered by the other 2 partys

Ron Paul is getting 1% ratings nationally, hes not doing as great as it looks like on the internet. And I don't know well i think he just does average in the states. He'll just be a vote spoiler just like Ross Perot.
