Stick to your dream or it won't ever come true

You should be prepared to follow your passion wherever it takes you regardless of how much or how little support you appear to get...(this is especially true in the beginning, because that's where your spiritual dues to your craft are paid. Once you achieve some success everyone will climb on board [as they always do]. But you have to maintain the drive to keep that flame alive when no one else can see it but you. This has been the challenge to all mankind throughout time, so you're in good company. I look forward to the day when we can sit here at YA and say "we knew you when..." Good luck.

Whew! What a crop of blind leaders we have trying to lead you!

You cannot do anything professional as an actor without your parents' consent until you are 18. What you can do is build as storng a foundation in acting as you can in school, church and community plays, then when you are 18 you can do what you like.

If you are even considereing giving up on wanting to be an actress, then you may not have what it takes to be one, undying drive!

Don't care about what anyone else thinks. All that matters is what you want to do and what your dreams are. It is up to you to make your own dreams come true! Don't let anyone stand in the way of your dreams. If you want to be an actress then go on and be one. No one can really stop you form achieving your dreams. If you really want it, if you strive for it then go on and reach for it.

Unfortunately very few aspring actors/actresses can make a living at it. If you can afford it, stick with it. If not, try community theatre or find another creative outlet as a hobby.

Stick with it!
You can be anything you really want to be. If your family isn't supportive, find a friend who is.

Ask yourself what you'd say to a friend looking for support, write it on a piece of paper and tape it to the fridge. When you need a lift, read it outloud. Be your own support!!!!

fulfill your dreams a lot of people don't support others but most of those people are living THEY'RE dream. its yours not theirs. Don't let anybody get in your way. If this is what you truly want then GO FOR IT! If you devote your time and practice you will go far. believe you can do this and you will. If they can't support you then they don't care about your dreams. So prove them wrong.

Keep auditioning for things. Be it for theatre or commercials or movies. Keep at it, Take classes and see if it is truly what you want. For things you might have auditioned for up till now you might not have been the right height, age, look, or whatever. If you move on you might regret it. find what you from acting and see if you can get it. EDIT: theatre doc is right.

You'll never get anywhere in acting if you don't have confidence in your own abilities.

On the other hand, your acting skills may stand some sharpening, too. Try to find a school and enrol yourself.

Good luck.
