It shouldn't hurt that badly, if the pain persists I suggest you see a doctor. Hopefully it will go away in the next 24 hours...if not it's doctor time.

no it should not. this generally means that you were not lubricated enough for the sex act and your partner didnt give a **** about you or how you were feeling. sorry but that makes me angry that you should have to question it after the fact...if you were truly into the sex act you would have been wet either from your own discharge or your partner performing cunilingus on you as a way to become more intimate with you and to enhance your enjoyment of this act. sounds like it didnt happen. do yourself a favour and read a romance novel. this will generally help you understand that lovemaking is not "wham bam thank you ma'am". it's about giving and taking in a loving manner. sex is a special act that requires some intimacy and clearly you did not have this intimacy if you are in pain after the fact. feel free to abstain from sex for a while until you've discovered yourself and are confident enough to explain to your future partner what you want and how you want it. a loving partner will be more than happy to "go down" on you if it will make lovemaking better for you.
slight swelling and discomfort is not abnormal but "really swollen and hurting" is not normal at all. that sounds more like a rape than anything else.

It's gonna hurt first time for most people but not some.
It's because you have most probably just broken your hymen which is what is supposed to happen. Your hymen is just a piece of skin which cover the opening of you vagina.
But some people are born without it but if you are active a play sports it can break then too.
But it might hurt the first or second time but it will soon be ok xx

Are you male or female? If you are female at first yes it hurts and sometimes the next day to if you are worried go to a gynecologist to make sure you didnt contract any STD's even though you may had the guy wear a condom that doesnt mean you could have contracted herpes or something. If you are male check with your doctor as well.

You go to the doctor and get it checked. You may have a thick hymen and when it tore, it hurt more than average and may be infected. Something else may have been damaged if the guy was too rough or had other problems. If you are too young or too tight, that could hurt.

Sounds like you weren't lubricated enough. You should not be swollen and sore. If it lasts more than a day or two, go see your doctor.

it can be, you might want to suggest that your partner take it slower in the future to make sure you are comfortable, I would also suggest using lube, (lots and lots of lube the first sew times)...

If intercourse continues to be painful after several times, (I'm guessing your partner is male but if not i apologize for the assumption), you might want to try to dilate yourself by using a dildo roughly the size of your partner or getting a smaller one and working your way up.

Good luck!

Yes sometimes it can be bad like that. If you weren't ready for it and it was more forced it can be worse. Did you use a condom? Could have been allergic to it.
