you know when people are bored or whatever and they tap their nails on tables or chairs etc.
so whats the verdict
Are they musicians?
Or plain annoying?

I am guilty of doing that all the time....most of the time I just have a song in my head and don't realize that I'm doing it. To those around who aren't aware of that song in my head, it is pretty annoying :)

Actually, it could be a lack of exercise. If you have too much extra energy, you will feel restless most of the time, and that will result in nervous behaviors such as tapping you fingers of feet. It's pretty much your body's desperate attempt to get rid of some extra energy.

They are just nervous and anxious types. Some people can't keep from fidgeting. Sometimes a little attention and distraction does folks like that good.

Annoying. They should know that they are bothering other people whether they are musical or not. The same goes for the perpetual singers or whistler (even if they are musical). I don't want to hear it.
