All of the numbers you wrote are factors.

If you mean prime factors, then you need to use a factor tree or just break 180 down.

180=10x18=2x5x3x6=2x5x3x2x3 These are the prime factors of 180.

Any factor can be used to start the break down. I use 10 and divided it into 180.

You could try dividing by one of the other factors to start.

180=90x2=9x10x2=3x3x2x5x2 (Same answer as above)(the order of the factors can be different) 2x2x3x3x5

Factors Of 180

180/2 = 90
90/2 = 45
45/3 = 15
15/3 = 5
5/5 = 1

2^2 times 3^2 times 5 times 1 = 180
Thus factors are 2^2, 3^2, 5, 1

since you've already answered your own question, here is just a list on finding factors:

1. get the prime factors to know how many factors of 180 are there. 180 = (2^2)(3^2)(5^1) ===> get the exponents then add 1 each and multiply them all. (2+1)(2+1)(1+1)=18
2. using the prime factors, try combining them to find the factors. for me its easier if you try to get pairs starting with the small ones. 180 = (1x180), (2,90), (3,45)...
3. count the factors that you got and check if its equal to 18.

but of course, its a lot harder to find factors of big numbers. it might be possible that numbers that have prime factors 31 or 47 will appear. so if in case that happens, a calculator will help yah ^_^
