is there anything you can spray or paint on a pumpkin to protect your carved design from wilting (so it lasts until halloween)??

Many sites recommend rubbing the inside with vaseline ince you are done.
You can also put the pumpkin in a bath of cold water to plump it back up.
Avoid direct sunsight.

I've heard that rubbing Vaseline on it helps but I haven't tried that yet so I can't really say from experience if it works or not. Also try to keep it cool and moist if you can.
Overall though it's best to just wait until a few days before Halloween to carve pumpkins.

I really not know. What you may try, just make a spray bottle of water and spray/mist the inside often.

soak it in water over night or right after carving, spread petroleum jelly all over the surface!
