Nope.
That's what I do.
Just don't "redline" it.

immediately's greater moderen instruction manual transmissions are synchronized to shift to diminish gears an any velocity. regardless of the incontrovertible fact that, previously you start up attempting those downshifts for the point of coming to a end, get used on your automobile, the cost and RPM in any given equipment. That way you will no longer downshift 2 gears, pop the take carry of decrease back out and rev the engine too extreme. on the different hand, downshifting on an analogous time as attempting to strengthen up is high quality as long as you're used on your automobile and be attentive to approximately what RPM you would be turning. Like an computerized does at approximately 25 mph while stomped to the floor. It shifts as you stated down 2 gears to get the main out of the engine at a secure RPM. the computerized understands how a tactics it could shift down through fact all of it is finished via velocity and RPM sensors. To do the instruction manual adequately, you may desire to be the sensor so your RPM does not get too extreme. Manuals are a lot of exciting for the overall performance minded, yet as I stated, study your automobile, be attentive to it relatively is limits and save it risk-free. sturdy luck.

No this is the best way to gain speed . The engine will operate best around the point of maximum torque. This is usually someting like 3500 rpm for a petrol engine or 2000rpm for a diesel. The figure will be in the handbook somewhere.
Doing this will not harm the fuel economy so is GOOD.

It's good to downshift in my opinion because it puts the engine RPMs in the most optimum range for the road conditions. It's bad to "lug" an engine meaning you should have down shifted and you didn't to get the engine RPMs up.

It dependes when you downshift... just don't get your engine all the way to the redline... it's not good for your engine if you downshift into the redline and neither it is for your transmission
