I don't care what anyone says. If I'm in love with a UAE local. And she loves me too. I'm taking her no matter what anybody says. We don't have to live in UAE. I'll bring her back to the US and we'll live happily ever after. Y shouldn't I have the right to marry a woman I love. The discrimination I hear about in UAE is not Islam at all. Allah doesn't discriminate.

I do understand your feelings and I do not care if you care about what I said or not. Fact is, that she is doing something "illegal" by marrying you without getting permission from the autorities is Abu Dhabi. If you get married, please make sure that her passport is renewed. It might take her a couple years to become an American citizen. Before she becomes an American citizen the UAE embassy would have to renew her passport, which they might not do. (Ask Nana!)

I do not doubt that you both are in love, but - please think about certain things BEFORE you're running into problems!

This got nothing to do with Islam, that is the local law. Point blanc. Please do some thinking before the girl will end up being stateless. As long your future wife is not entiteld to become an US citizen her UAE Embassy is responible for her valid passport. But - without a valid passport she will not be able to apply for American citizenship.

Please do not make a girl suffer because she's in love with you now. Please do some thinking for the both of you and figure out a way without her being in trouble. Please talk to Nana.

Wishing you both all the best!

I am a muslim, and Yes, i can understand your frustration. But, there are many complications, marrying a local woman from the UAE. Especially, if you are not muslim. But, if you are, I suggest , you do the right thing, and sit down, with her family and discuss the issue. The reality is , no matter where in the world you go, a decent muslim girl will always prefer a peaceful solution, rather than eloping with a foreign man and disgracing her family. Yes, i also am aware, that ' sometimes ' love may take a back seat, when it comes to families consent, because of differences in culture and religion. But, the best thing is talking . The last bit of advice, her mind could never be in peace, if you run away with her. This will affect your long term relationship. Good Luck !!!!!!

I wish all will go as dreamt for you both, but i wish the troubles you& your future woman will get won't lead into killing the love between you both! if your woman wanna do it the illegal way( run' away with u..etc) then ask her to think 100 times about all the potential problems she might get & if she will be up to them! Though some times thinking is not as experiencing! regarding marry' in your country. make sure that all documentations available, including your wife paper stating that she is single at the moment( this is necessary for the marriage resisterar) which will be hard for her to get, as she'd have to go to a court in UAE with 2 male close relatives to testify that she isn't married! ( which i don't think she'd do cause this will reveal all her intentions!!) unless marry' in las vegas?? i don't know but i heard it's less strict there. i don't know what to say, i had same experience, i'm local married to British in Europe at the moment. Now after 2 years of do' all what you plan to do, i wish time goes back& i pray God would have had mercy on me by not allow' all to happen! tears ain't help at the moment. i wish your girl think long before leaving...Good luck!
NOTE: if you or your girl wish to contact me for infos, plsss don't hesitate!

actually why not? am a muslim also, and i don't think it's a big deal not to marry an arab local, and i think you can live whenever you want, but she has to make her parents and family agree i think, i mean after all, if you'd leave her, she'll be lonely and only her family can hold her and take care of her, so make her convince her family that you both are in love...

I wish you happiness both....
