I bought a '91 s-10 blazer, that had 203,000 miles on it. Obviously, the transmission had problems. Well, I ordered a "rebuilt" transmission from Chevrolet, waited a week for it to get here, and bolted it up there. Went in pretty easy, put new seals in the transfer case, corrected shift linkage. But the transmission won't grab seceond, third, or Drive. First gear works fine, and reverse works fine. But when it shifts, there's just nothing there. You can manualy shift from first to second to drive, and it just feels like it's not grabbing. But when you shift back down from drive or second, into first, it'll grab real hard. Anyone have any ideas?

My suggestion is to return it and get a free replacement. They should have provided a warranty with it.

Readjust the linkage with both the shifter and transmission in NEUTRAL.
