Tools of divination (tarot, runes, crystal balls, I Ching, scrying, tea leaves etc) are tools to help you connect with the Divine. Reflecting pools and mirrors (which have been used as a substitution for a reflecting pool) fall under the category of scrying--which is gazing into a pool, lake, cup or mirror. Although I have not personally used mirrors as a tool of divination, I know this: the bloody mary thing has NOTHING to do with divination. If you are sincerely interested in Divination, I recommend you read Divination for Beginners by Scott Cunningham.

the first place I would try is one of those windshield repair shops that fix chips. They may have that epoxy filler to lessen the look of the damage. All you can do is minimize it.
