Do you think he helped France or hurt France and what about the rest of the world..helping or hindering ?

I think he was a child of the Revolution who helped Europe by dragging it kicking and screaming into the 19th century. Medieval ideas like the Holy Roman Empire were done away with. Possibly, had he not been defeated we would have seen a united Europe 150 years before the EU. Certainly, for France his downfall hindered it in a lot of ways during the 19th century. Just think of the constant revolutions that ensued - the overthrow of Charles X, then of Louis-Phillipe, then the Franco-Prussian War of 1870 and the following Paris Commune when 1000s died.
