In my business class, we were assigned to give an informative speech about anything we wanted. So first I started by thinking about things that I knew alot about. When that didn't work, I talked about things that I loved, liked and things I couldn't live without. I mean come on who knows you more than you know yourself.

How about something about the Presidential candidates? There is a lot in the news about them right now. You could focus on just one party or maybe on how the candidates are chosen and what the whole nomination system is.

Another topic that is "hot" right now is the timing of the Presidential Primaries since Iowa is usually first and other states have tried to make theirs first. So you could talk about what the whole system is, and then also about the "controversy" and what states have been doing.

Informative means you are telling them something.

Now it helps to KNOW about what you are speaking/writing. I could not write about the process of winning a national chess competition, but I could about putting on a festival in a town - event planner stuff kinda thing.

So, think of what you or your parents have done/have as hobbies, and write about that. maybe you mother writes recipes for a magazine. Or your dad is a whiz at military uniforms and goes to show to promote/sell old memorabilia??

I dunno. But YOU DO and must pick a topic that is within your knowledge.

How about global warming or abortion??? A lot of people are interested in that. W/ the abortion thing you could explain between pro-choice and pro-life. If not.. try something historical. Maybe like Elizabethan Weddings??? Thats really cool. I did a report on that last year. Good Luck. ; - )

I think you should give a speech on what wonderful benefits it would give to have more accomadations like speedy check out lines at the store, special close parking at stores, good seats at shows, etc for PRETTY PEOPLE

Pretty people aren't given the recognition they deserve.

Yeah, tell your class about something they'll never be taught about:

Zionism.

Look it up, learn about it, then tell others. It'll be part of everyone's final exam, trust me.
