why is it that people judge people from the way they look?

i think you shouldnt judge anybody until you get to konw them but i want to hear other peoples opinion

The first thing you SEE is how the person is dressed, their grooming, their eyes are windows to their soul.
First impressions may not tell what the true person is like but if they're dirty, unkempt, have greasy hair, hard eyes, unsmiling face, it's bound to make a bad impression. It can make you not want to know the person better.

1) because of conditionaing by tv/movies/characters, the media, ect.

2) Because to some extent, you CAN derieve parts of personality by the physical (body language, etc.)!
