for candy, get dum-dum lollypops. everybody likes those. for a health snack, get pretzels, you know, those mini bags of them. for something else, go to the dollar store. they have yo-yo's and whistles and stuff that come in packs of six

I would skip the healthy snack, it will more than likely be thrown away, but if you really want one in there I would go with little packs of Check's mix, or something like that. As for the candy chocolate usually goes over pretty well. I would get the kind you like in case you don't get many trick or treater's. That way you aren't stuck with a bunch of candy you won't eat. OF course that will help your waist line. Hard candies are also usually a good bet, but I would get some of both since kids under three shouldn't have hard candy.

As far as candy goes, the little ones absolutely love the chocolate! I would put in something like the little chocolate pumpkings that you can buy cheap at wal-mart or the grocery store.
As for a health snack, a granola bar? Don't put in fruit because the parents are not going to let their children have it (because people can do all kinds of things to fruit, sad but true!)
As far as the other thing, you can buy little plastic spider rings, play-doh or other little toys, but you have to keep in mind that some of the kids that will be trick-or-treating will be too young for them.

Good luck and have fun!

I am doing grab bags this year, too. I am putting in a Reese's Cup, a Snickers Mini, pencils and trinkets that I from a party store.

For a health snack, you could get those little bags of mixed nuts or an granola bar. Yummers!

Hmm... back when I was a kid a lot of the kids liked lollypops, maybe they still like them. I suggest you do m&ms and chocolate bars and anything with chocolate! (Kids looove chocolate!) And no nuts! And for a health snack, yikes there's a lot but most don't go well with candy... I'd say you should put in a granola bar because kids most of the time love em! <3

here are a few things:
candy-------------- any "fun size" bars, gumball eyes, monster parts gummies, bubble gum.

a health snack---- prepackaged popcorn balls.
last year I was at a Walmart and they sold them by the box containing 12 I think. price reasonable too. They are selling them again, just saw the other day. and they're wrapped in halloween print plastic which is fun for the kids.

other ideas----- coupon books for burgers, fries, etc. some Burger Kings sell them.

See's candy stores have those flavored pops in caramel and chocolate. always a good "extra" for the trick-or-treaters.

Candy, candy, candy! I like to buy good candy like Hershey's. It is up to you. Some people do little bags of chips or cookies. When it comes to Halloween there are no healthy treats. Kids will just throw that stuff out.

Wow-you are really generous!
Here are some ideas:
For candy, try 3 Musketeers, Reeses, or Snickers.
For healthy, a granola bar or fruit
For something else, how about a nice eraser or a highlighter?
If you go to Orientaltrading.com, they have really nice bags and other fun stuff, all very inexpensive.
Have fun!

Do not put a healthy snack in! kids will flip out. My cousin did it last year. Not A PRETTY site! You should get the big candy bars like twix, snickers, milky way, kit kat, And lots of other things.
