Some deal well, others don't. My sister lives on the border of AZ & NV. She lives in AZ & works in NV. AZ is on Mountain time; NV is on Pacific time. Her part of AZ does not observe DST. So, if her start time is 7, she goes to work at 8 during ST, and 7 during DST. She has no problem with her work schedule, but she forgets that we have a 2 hour time difference during DST. I'm usually sleeping at 2 a.m. I had a boss who just didn't get it. I would schedule a meeting at 9 Pacific (noon Eastern). He would email me to tell me to change it to 6 Eastern, because the LA people were 3 hours behind. There was no arguing with him. He was always right. So, I'd change it. Then the LA people would complain, and I'd reschedule again.

YES .. but ...
That is BECAUSE I was on Active Duty with the Military (and we all know that we do NOT stay in one place, but are stationed around the world and move frequently ... are deployed ... go TDY ... etc). So for me, having that Time Zone Difference has been problematic (at times) because I usually was moved several time zones + or - from the last one I was at.

If the insomnia is becoming a problem maybe you should take a night job....or your second thought of moving to the states is a good one too..

yup. im from California and when i visit my family in Georgia, I always want to stay up late and go to bed at like 3:00 AM cuz its 3 hours ahead, haha. I remember one time when I was 14, i dyed my hair at midnight cuz I was so bored and couldnt fall asleep. It was kinda fun though. I'd get to wake up at noon and think "YESSS its noon! its only 9:00 Am at home!"

It is a way of life for me because I work night shift, so, I guess that would take me from Pennsylvania to Australia or somewhere equally as far away!
