It's fun, vast, beautiful, and you can find almost anything you're looking for. Big cities with lots going on? Got them. Wilderness and nature? Check. A huge variety of cultures? Just about everywhere you go has something different and interesting.
Plus, how many tourists actually get to see any member of a royal family? Not too many, I bet.

why do you think there has to be a royal family for tourists there is so much to do and see in the states that a royal family is the last thing people would want to do inless there into politics in which case they can always go look at the white house

A country doesn't have to have royalty to get tourists. There are tons of landscapes and places here in America that draw attention from many tourists.

Contrary to popular belief some people do not care one iota about seeing someone famous, or of royal stature.

Our country has many wonderful attributes some natural and some man made. The Grand Canyon, The Yellowstone National Park, Mount Rushmore, etc etc.

For those that are into history, fame and people we have many museums - Pro Baseball Hall of Fame, Pro Football Hall of Fame, The White House, Gettysburg and other historic sites, the Walk of Fame in Hollywood and alot more than I would have time or space to mention here.

People go visit other countries not because there might be a king or queen running around but to learn about the people, the culture and see the sights.

Their way of life, their achievements, their lack of a royal family.

We have genuinely interesting places to see and genuinely interesting things to do, not just go stare at a bunch of over-rated, over-indulged freeloaders.

Because we have other things to offer. We have NY's Broadway plays and musicals, the natural beauty of several states and let's not forget about Sin City, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas!
