Why should it need 'Royals'? France is a beautiful country with great beaches, fine food and wines and wonderful buildings, art and countryside. In Britain people often justify the royal family as bringing in millions in tourism. I've met plenty of tourists and i can't remember even one that came to England because of the queen. True they like to see Buckingham Palace and Windsor castle and so on, but they're buildings and will be here long after the queen has gone. I've visited every country in Europe plus Africa and America and not once did I go to those countries because they had a royal family, rather the reverse. I don't see why we should kowtow to these inbred and privileged people just because of the family they were born in.

Eiffel Tower, croissants, the Seine, the Louvre, Notre Dame. The list is too long.

Well the art, architecture, and culture of Paris is just fabulous. And when you go to other cities and towns in France, it's different but still very fabulous.

That said, I haven't been there but I'd love to go there someday.
