No. Then people will go in and vote who have NO idea who the candidate is or what he/she stands for. Actually, we already have enough of those people now.
What I am saying is that people need to get informed about the issues and where the candidates stand before casting a vote. I really don't want a bunch of ignoramuses just going in and pushing a button.

No, yet no longer for a libertarian reason. My clarification for no longer requiring it particularly is with the aid of fact there are fairly some people who at the instant do no longer vote, with the aid of fact they have not have been given any political understanding. they might actually purely %. one to be achieved with it. If somebody lacks the desire to vote, then they are no idiotic and lazy, that their opinion and valueless and isn't wanted in our vote casting equipment.

In a free society the vote can only be a choice. Once it's required we can no longer call our system a "free election" process.

I don't believe so.
Maybe if the media had a legal standard to follow, would be better. Following the money loaded canidates seems to be unfair for the viewers.

No, because then we'd be in a real mess. People who are forced to vote will just screw up the popular opinion just to be vengeful or stupid.

i don't think so. some teens don't know what the heck is going on with the government, nor caring about it sometimes. I personally wouldn't want to vote.

Absolutely not! Voting is a right, not a law.

No people should be able to choose whether or not they want to vote.
