for many reasons: to have children (not my reason), because it is fun and feels good, and when you are really in love with someone, it is the closest you can get to that person - it is emotionally and physically bonding. Some people do it because they think they have to (like thinking they need to have sex or lose the one they like or because all of their friends are, or that is what will make them be more mature -- these are all the wrong reasons by the way).

its just another level of the relationship where the 2 of you get to share each other and celebrate each others love. if you really love someone doing sex with them will be way better than just giving it away to someone. some people take it for an intimate thing that is only sacred between them and the one that they love and others don't care and they don't think they will get hurt. hope that helps sweetie :)

For adults: because it is a way to spiritually connect with another person thru their bodies.
For young adults: because they have hormones that are raging and this gets their mind and bodies in sync and they might have some idea about using their bodies as a means of communicating their innermost feelings.
For teenagers: because they think having sex means they are adults and the have an itch that they don't care much how it gets scratched.

God gave us sex for reproduction, but we have expanded on it. Now it is also a sport and to help solidify relationships.

people of the opposite sex have sex to produce children. and becouse it is pleasurable. same for gays, just they cant produce children.
