I had my tubes clamped 2 and a half years ago, at the same time as my second c cection.
Since then I have had insanely heavy periods and over the last few months I have been getting a bad pain..(not cramps) almost a burning feeling at times on the left side of my tummy. Kinda feels like where my "tubes" might be. I don't know a lot about anatomy but it is right above my c cection scar on the left...my left. mabey about 3 inches away from my hib bone.
I also seem to get very light headed during this time of the month and almost pass out every time I stand up.
I have been to the walk in clinic where they took blood and nothing was wrong.
Could this have something to do with the "clamps".?
second question. Is there something wrong with me if I am still lactating?? my youngest children are 2 and a half years old.?

there is no medical evidence that tying your tubes changes your period, however, many women do complain of this. also, this can happen just as women get older, especially into the late 30's and early 40's-lots of heavier periods. go to the gyn and they can put help you with that. as far as the pain, I guess you could have scar tissue that is causing the pain but that is more likely from the cesarean than the tubal, especially if they only put on clamps-that does not cause much damage. cesarean can cause scar tissue all over the abdomen so it can be anywhere below the belly button basically. blood test will not tell you anything about the pain, but it is good to know you are not anemic from the bleeding. a pelvic ultrasound would be a better test for pain. as far as the lactating, that can be normal especially if there is a lot of breast stimulation with sex etc, but you want to be sure they checked a prolactin level in your blood test. if elevated, there could be another problem. a gynecologist can help you with the pain and bleeding and check a prolactin for you if not already done. good luck
