I have a 2000 Taurus and have never changed the spark plugs. The manufacturer says they are good to 100000 miles. So why change your spark plugs if they'r not scheduled to be changed by the manufacturer's maintenance schedule unless they have failed? Most ignition misfire check engine codes aren't due to bad spark plugs on modern cars. You might very well create more problems by changing your spark plugs than you fix on a car as new as yours!

Yes, you need to pull the plenum to replace the plugs but I find it unlikely a plug change would be required yet on a car that young.
